Shanghai Gearing Up to be China's New Art Destination

For years now, Shanghai has played second fiddle to Beijing's art scene. In a valiant attempt to change this, Shanghai opened two new museums during the October 1st National Holiday to much hype from the art world.

The 2010 World Expo's China Pavilion has been turned into the China Art Palace, Asia's largest art museum. The iconic red structure will house 27 exhibition halls of classic art from China and around the world.

China's Winter Wonderland: The Harbin Ice and Snow Festival 2013
