ISO Caribbean islands for naturalists & snorkelers such as Guadeloupe, French West Indies

I'm interested in learning places to visit similar to St. John's USVI in natural character. I've also been to Bonaire and Eleuthera.  One suggestion was Guadeloupe Island near Saint Martin for the Spring. Do you know if it would be worth the expense of getting there? Are there more attractive islands in the Caribbean for naturalists and snorkelers?

Thank you.

Try Grenada! A lovely, unspoiled island with beautiful beaches and lush rain forest. Snorkeling and diving including a fascinating underwater sculpture park. Bird watching tours, turtle watching, garden tours, whale & dolphin watching. Wonderful hikes. Waterfalls. Sailing. Organic chocolate production, herb gardens and organic farming projects. Warm-hearted and laid-back people. Small hotels in all categories.
I'm sure you would love it!
What's the best way to get there, i.e. small plane or major airline?
It depends where are you coming from. As far as concern to Saba Island a Dutch Antilles, it's volcanic island you can find here beautiful mountain forests, excellent scuba diving snorkeling spots and hiking. The island has only one harbor that's Well's Beach.

I must say a day is not enough to explore this Caribbean gem.

Have a comfortable stay in Luray VA Accommodations
An island worth going for dives and snorkling is Saba. Tad difficult to get to, but worth it. There is ofcourse the popular destination of Grand Cayman in Cayman Island.
Saba has peaked my interest. Is it possible to get there as a day trip by boat from other nearby islands?
i've snorkeled the BVI and I saw a lot. Haven't snorkeled Curacao but its known for great diving. Have any of you gone snorkeling there & should Micheala look into that too ?
