Hi Dennis.
There are are you looking in one geographical area or in general?
Yes, Danielle's right, Dennis. It would help to be more specific -- geographical area, theme (adventure, culinary, etc.).
I am looking for a robust booking engine that covers all types/themes of Tours worldwide. The "Hotels.com" of Tours. Does this exist?
Kensington Tours (www.kensingtontours.com) is worth checking out, as it provides custom, private guided travel to more than 80 countries and you can request quotes directly from the site.

While the site has a wealth of information with sample itineraries, note that every itinerary is tailored to each client's needs, including the specific departure, lodging, itinerary highlights and experiences (fitting your request). Prices range from $200 to $2,000/person per day - 30% less on average than competitors group tours.
Dennis, I have not come across a site that aggregates tours across the board the way you might find with flights, hotel rooms, rental cars, etc. I've asked around a bit among several other travel experts as well, and so far nothing has materialized. There are sites which group tour operators by theme or organization, and you can then click through to their individual Web sites. That may be the closest thing that exists so far.
If you are a DIY booker...go to TheTopTravelClub.com and get discounts for direct bookings of tours and travel in over 80 countries.
In a recent article Condé Nast Traveler mentioned http://www.viator.com/
