Welcome, Bev Malzard!

Profile Information

Are you connected to the tourism/travel/hospitality industries or travel media in any way? If so, please specify how (kindly include any relevant company names/Web sites!).
I am the editor of two travel magazines, published nationally in Australia. I have recently served three years as President of the Australian Society of Travel Writers (resigned the position in October 2013). I write a blog, have a facebook page for the magazine (GetUpAndGoNow), write a monthly e-newsletter and love every minute of the hectic pace of working - and I travel a lot too.
On which destinations & travel topics can you advise members especially well?
Australia and all over the world, mostly.
What destinations are you most interested in learning about?

Get Up & Go winter edition is out now. We feature the many types of cruises you can take; celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France and cover amazing Asian destinations and review some pretty swanky hotels.

Hello, Bev, Down Under in one of my favorite cities. Just saw your post on Tripatini. I know Australians travel to Morocco a fair amount (many joined me on my food tours there). Would a piece on Morocco and its food be of interest for your magazines? I was born in Casablanca, and I have written 5 cookbook on Moroccan cuisine (, 2 of them winners of Jacob's Creek Awards.  Just thought I'd ask.

I LOVE Sydney, and the food in Oz in amazing.
