I am a professional tour guide and driver. I am proud to be born in Gdansk. I simply love what I do. As a tour guide I have the honour and pleasure to meet people of different nationalities travelling to Gdansk for pleasure or on business.
As a former tour operator, I worked out numerous tour programs and itineraries for foreign visitors travelling on business or for pleasure. I also prepared some study tours for foreign travel agents and press tours.
As a a Berlitz language center director in Gdansk , I gained experience working with and assisting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and vastly enhanced my language and communication skills.
I travelled a lot on business ( USA, Canada, Israel and Europe) and attended important travel trade events (ITB, World Travel Market) as well as study tours arranged by the national tourist authorities. I truly love my job and creating new tour programs and make them working.
Let me invite you along on a guided tour in and around Gdansk which has a myriad of exciting and appealing attractions. Shore Excursions ex-Gdansk/Gdynia arranged are the perfect compliment to the Baltic cruises. I design my excursions to avoid crowds with a focus on local culture, important historical sights and areas of special interest to the cruise passengers such as art, history, shopping or cuisine.
I would be happy to take you around showing my favourite sights, picturesque lanes full of unique architectural details and reveal some of the mysteries. If you have any special preferences /interests ( for example, military subjects, WW2, lighthouses, art galleries, folk museum, numismatics, gastronomy tour, vintage tour, Chopin's music or would prefer rather Off the Beaten Track Tour), please kindly drop me a line.
I would be more than happy to prepare a new tailored-made tour to include your interests/preferances. If you are a lawyer and would like to see the POlish court house or a doctor who wants to visit a public hospital or private clinic , please do not hesitate to ask. We can always detour to include such places of interest.
I hope you will also share my passion of taking photos of people we meet and places we visit.
As I have a small company I can guarantee that you can have a tour even if I am not available myself. I can recommend other carefully selected professional guides who are keen to share their knowledge and expertise.
Taking this opportunity, I would also like to invite you to attend EURO 2012 events organised in Gdansk and to vote for Gdansk as a city-candidate to the European Capital of Culture 2016, a great chance to showcase the city's cultural life.
I look forward to meeting you in Gdansk very soon!
Margaret/ASTRA-TOURS
Warmest regards,
Margaret

Croatia is the closest we've come, but if we can get to Gdansk, we'd be very happy to create a Travel Video Postcard there :)
Cheers

Dear Margaret,
Thank you for contacting me. I am very interested in bringing more of Europe to my readers as I contribute to several travel publications including a Russian-language newspaper in San Francisco, and I know that Europe is my readers' primary travel destination. My recent trip to Vienna and East Germany resulted in several stories in the making, and I surely hope to visit Poland soon (Been to Warsaw long ago, never to Gdansk). Please write to my personal email: ekrasov@yahoo.com with further correspondence.
Thanks,
Emma Krasov,
Travel journalist, San Francisco, California
Hi Margaret,
Thanks for your offer, but the Templars were never involved with malta. It was the Order of St John that held the islands for 300 or so years.
Thanks anyhow
This one would be good. I have a problem just lifting material and republishing from About.com, even though I know it is an excellent site. My original or featured posts and articles need to be original. Direct recipes from chefs or cooks work. I'd rather feature them and link to their sites. You could send the email to mdhill@noralyn.com.
If that is too difficult, I understand.
