Location scouting in Overbrook and a day in Topeka, KS

Just outside of Topeka, KS is the small community of Overbrook. The American Legion Post located here has agreed to let me use their UH-1 Huey helicopter on one of my photo-shoots. This will be the third image in the Veteran’s Burdens series and will focus on what our service members left behind in Vietnam, of themselves and the friends made and lost. After spending about an hour there taking test shots and looking at angles, it was time to pack everything up and head to…

The minute I stepped into the lobby, I knew this was going to be a special vacation.

I took in the fresh scent of lemongrass as I eyed the beautiful surroundings – check in desks to the left, softly curtained sitting areas to the right and the bright blue water of an infinity pool in the back. On the beautiful white sand beaches of Cancun this…

Booking a trip to Hawaii

So i was recently looking to take a Hawaii vacation and I wasn't sure which island to visit. This was my first time taking a trip to Hawaii and wanted to find the best island for me and my family. Weston, Missouri: A Window to the Past

Sitting among the bluffs of the Missouri River is the quaint little city of Weston. Now the streets are always bustling with tourists and shoppers making their way to shops such as the Celtic Ranch and the Bella Company. What a lot of people do not know is that the town of Weston has ties to the likes of Buffalo Bill Cody and descendants of Daniel Boone, and was once a major river port that supplied Fort Leavenworth.

Although business is booming in Weston it was not always the…

Top Day Trips in Costa Rica

If you are like a lot of travelers – me included – you generally tend to plan where you are going on any trip, as far as location is concerned, and probably also where you will stay.
